  • OCD and the small plaster/paint repair.....

What started as a small plaster repair and touch up paint job has turned into 9 gallons of paint in the back of my SUV!  Welcome to my life!

Last night I noticed a piece of plaster missing from the arch in my family room, about the size of a quarter.

I asked "Anybody know how this happened???"

Dear Sweet Husband says.... "oh, I did that, it was bubbled (?) out and when I tried to push it back in..... it fell off"

HUH?  It fell off?  and you didn't feel the need to mention that you BROKE my wall?    WELL~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Here's how my mind works, notice I haven't always been this way, I'm not sure what happened?

I grab the putty this morning and go to work fixing the arch.  After said arch is puttied (is that a word?) I realize that I'm in "paint mode" and need to let the arch dry for at least a few hours before I can sand it so what can I paint in the mean time????????????????????????

Next thing I know the kids and I are on our way home from Home Depot with 6 gallons of paint for the master bedroom/sitting area/and master bath.  3 gallons of paint for Savannah's bedroom and closet.  And of course the gallon I needed to touch up the ARCH!~

I'll be painting ALL WEEK!  I finished 2 walls in Savannah's room tonight, should finish it by noon tomorrow and then I'll start of my bedroom.  I'm loving Savannah's room and you know I took before pic's, I'll share them all later this week.  (assuming I survive the week?!?)

  • *LOL* Oh deary. I'm afraid we were separated a birth. We have to be hatched from the same egg. (LOL)

  • You go girl!!  I can't paint worth a darn or I'd be repainting my entire house.

  • @SpazzyMommy - then I feel for you, hey I feel for me. *lol*  This is insane, I may never finish this, WHAT WAS I THINKING??  I finished Savannah's room and I've done 2 walls in my room.  I'm done for the day (I think)  I still have 2 walls in my room, plus the sitting area and my bathroom...... and of course the touch up downstairs which started the whole thing.

  • @PorterMom - painting isn't that hard, if I can do it anyone can *lol*  I just don't advise doing it ALL at the same time.  *lol*

  • Nice to see you! Thanks for stopping by. Well, you're amazing, too, and you can come to my house any time, Jamie. You have more energy than everybody I've ever met, and I have walls that could use your talents :)

  • I find a hole in my wall a few months ago and no one knows how it got there. But we could figure out an evil troll snuck into the house and hit the wall with a hammer while Trevor was off doing good deeds feeding orphans and Justin was inocently helping old ladies across the street in downtown victor.

In short I feel your pain.

  • Hey if you're going to be back online tonight There is a post (protected) that I'll want your opinion on.
