  • The Full Cold Moon

    We sat in the back  yard tonight and did a little star gazing  The Full Cold Moon was beautiful, dh and I both saw the same shooting star just underneath the moon, I told him that means we'll love each other forever..... yep, I totally made it up.    We'd do that with or without seeing the star

  • You took some fantastic photos!!! WOWWEE! It was so cold here that I couldn't stand out there long enough to photograph!!! (LOL)

  • @SpazzyMommy - Thanks   It's too bad I don't have a picture of me taking the picture....  too funny.  I had to lay flat on my back in the yard (I don't have a tripod) to keep my arms from shaking.  Zoomed in that much one little movement can take the entire subject out of the picture, I took about 40 pic's to get those 4!

  • Oh my goodness! Those photos are incredible! Thanks for sharing them. And I love what you said about the shooting star. :)

  • Hello, Jamie;

    Oh, don't be jealous. Yes, the land is vast, but no one wants it. I am jealous of those moon pictures. I can't recall a night that clear. That's the big problem here... the weather. We don't have seasons like you have in Texas. We have rain and wind all the time. Yet nothing grows out here except scrub grass and sheep :)   To make myself feel better, I have been reading about Greenland. Greenland is over THREE TIMES the size of Texas, yet the entire country has only 57,000 people.

    How romantic a shooting star can be. I love hearing of couples who remain in love.

    What sort of camera and lens did you use to get those fantastic pictures?

    Allison

  • @allison82mckinley - Thank you Allison, I used my Cannon Power Shot and the lens that came with it   I just zoomed in as high as it would go.
